THE HOME OF PRIVATE AND COMMERCIAL FLIGHT TRAINING

Commercial Flight Training
We are approved by the CAA to provide the full range of modular advanced training programmes, including MEP, CPL, IR and FI courses. The Teesside region offers an ideal training environ- ment, with controlled airspace surrounding the airport but plenty of uncontrolled airspace nearby in which to conduct general handling. There is easy access to the airways system and major airports such as Leeds and Newcastle are only a short distance away. This produces a good balance, with virtually unrestricted training facilities at base but realistically busy conditions nearby. The airport itself offers good facilities, with ILS on both runways, along with NDB and DME stations and an excellent radar service from co-operative ATC personnel.

FLying Instructor Course
Training is available for the FI(R), IRI, CRI, night and aerobatics ratings.Candidates can opt for the C152, C172, PA28 or Bulldog. The Seneca V is used for CRI training.

Ab Initio to Frozen ATPL
The school offers one of the few courses designed to take beginners right through to a professional licence without having to leave the UK. This has many advantages, not least of which is the option to carry on earning a living during training. Staying in the UK also gives a student better control of his or her training and takes away a lot of the risk and financial worry.
