The
Private Pilot's Licence (PPL)
Gaining a PPL is an extremely satisfying and
rewarding achievement for anyone whether
you're male, female, young or old. The licence gives you the freedom
to fly all over including the Continent. Day trips to Ireland, overnight
in France or maybe a few days in Spain are all available to the PPL
holder. The course itself is a minimum of 45 hours
flight training of which you will fly 10 hours solo. Initially we
teach you the basics building up to your first solo then it's onto cross
country navigation and land aways at other destination airports. There
are some exams which do require some study and you do need to pass a
medical. The picture on the right hand side shows two of our aircraft,
a Cessna
152 and a PA28 which we use for PPL flight training.
Advanced PPL Training
Once you have gained your PPL you might wish to add night and IMC, poor
weather ratings to it. This can also be carried out on our more advanced
well equipped aircraft.A
night rating is a requirement for commercial pilot licence (CPL) issue
and it never expires making it a value for money addition to your
licence. |
