Please read the following information very carefully.
Gift Vouchers are sent out to the address supplied within seven days from the transaction date.
When calling to arrange your flight please state whether the voucher is for an Aeroplane or Helicopter, the duration of the flight, the number of passenger seats and the voucher number.
Your flight voucher is valid for six months from the date of issue and whilst non-refundable, is transferable. Should the flight not be taken before the expiry date due to circumstances beyond Cleveland Flying School’s control (i.e. unsuitable flying weather) it will not be extended free of charge. Please be advised this clause will be strictly applied and is non-negotiable. Therefore, you are strongly advised not to leave booking your flight to within the last month of the voucher’s expiry date. The voucher may be extended for 3 months for a fee of £30, but this must done within the six-month validity period of the voucher.
Our busiest time of the year is the summer months and weekends are always busy, we would therefore advise that flights should be booked at least one month in advance to avoid disappointment, and do not forget there are some beautiful flying days in the winter.
On the day of your flight please call Cleveland Flying School to confirm that the weather conditions are suitable for the flight. The weather obviously affects aviation in many different ways and it is therefore essential, to avoid any possible disappointment, that you to make this call even if it appears to be a perfect day for flying at your home location.
We would ask that you arrive for your flight at least 15 minutes before your booked departure time. This allows for the pre-flight briefing with your instructor to be completed without encroaching on your flying time. A delayed arrival for your lesson may result in the rescheduling of your flight and non-attendance will lead to the voucher being invalidated. In order to comply with Department for Transport Security regulations please ensure that when you attend for your flight you are able to produce suitable identification (i.e. passport or photograph driving licence) for every person that is to fly. If you cannot produce these documents then unfortunately you cannot be given access to the Aircraft and you flight will be cancelled.
If your flight does not go ahead due to adverse weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control, every effort will be made to accommodate a convenient alternative date and time.
All flights by Cleveland Flying School are operated in accordance with the Air Navigation Order and our Standard Terms and Conditions, copies of which are available on request.
